Quality sealing rings

My youngest boy bought an '07 plate Astra SXI a little over a year ago. After a good check over where, thank goodness, we found no big problems, we decided to treat it to a oil and filter change to see it through to it's next service so I bought the oil and filter on the Wednesday in ready ness for the job on the Saturday. Luckily my lad came round at about 11am, because we didn't know the car uses a rubber O ring to seal the sump plug! Luckily there is a main dealer a mile down the road so we just had time to get there and buy one before their stores closed! Yes I could have reused the old one, but I'm a bit of a worrier about reusing perishable bits like this and we had no idea when it was last renewed. If I remember correctly I it cost the best part of £1 (more than 0.80p I remember)
So now it's time for it's service and I've bought all the parts from my favourite local factor but he doesn't do this sealing ring and, surprisingly, it's not included in the OE quality filter. This is where Early Bird comes in. I found their website through Google and ebay. For the price for a pack of 10 of their rings I would have been able to buy about 3 from the main dealer down the road and as my boy will keep this car for a long time I bought them. They posted them to me in 3 days, which I find most acceptable. I was a little worried about quality at this price (don't want the boy's car dropping it's oil as he drives around!) but they look of good quality and they fit the groove in the plug perfectly.
Further viewing of their products show that they do copper sealing washers for my TDI Seat and at a very good price too so I'll shortly be ordering a pack of them.
I'm very pleased with my purchase and will definitely use these people again - In fact I've stored them in my "favourites" file.
